Explanation of General Data Protection Regulation
As of May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG) is applicable.
This regulates privacy legislation centrally for the entire European Union.
With this, the European Union wants to give people more control over how organizations handle their personal data.
This is because rapid developments in Cloud technology, among other things, are creating new ways to deploy and use data.
By strengthening data protection laws and introducing tougher enforcement measures, the European Union aims to stop this and improve trust in the emerging digital economy.
